  FCP suddenly won’t import from deck

  Hi there,

  I am using a JVC SR-DVM 700 deck and have had no trouble importing to FCP via firewire using both controllable devices and uncontrollable. Until today. For no apparent reason!

  It is detecting the deck, and even detecting the audio input (and I can use preview to hear it through the computer) but the video display is disabled.

  I have checked an rechecked settings, trashed preferences, refreshed devices, shut stuff off and on and off and on, and am now completely stumped.

  On a sidenote, Imovie can capture from the deck just fine.

  Please help! : )
