I have searched these forums, so forgive me if I missed this already being discussed.

I’m working on a project and am trying the SmoothCam filter. When I view the footage full screen in FCP, it looks fine. However, when I export it to an H.264 QT file, I get this weird flashing/jittery effect in some of the footage that has SmoothCam applied. I know that some blurring is normal, but this is a very noticeable shaking/jittering that I do not see that in FCP.

    Has anyone had this issue?

I’m editing HDV in 1080i60. Outputting to H.264 720p using QT conversion.

The project is pretty much finished, but if I can’t fix the glitch, I’m afraid I’ll need to get a plan B.

Any help will be VERY much appreciated. Thanks!

Um… maybe you posted in the wrong subject?

Perhaps you know something about SmoothCam output suggestions?

Sorry, clicked to respond to the other posting I’m active in and a pop up ad shifted the screen just as I clicked, didn’t realize I was posting here and then couldn’t delete 😀

I have output H264 files of HDV timelines with smoothcam shots without any issue. All I can suggest is to bake in the smoothcam by making a QT file of the shot an then replacing the original with the new QT before exporting.
