    Hi,

    i was wondering if there was a quicker way to produce rushes from FCP. It takes me 2-3 hours to export to a quicktime movie ( a segment of about 1:30 min to 2 hours) and then another 40 minutes to burn to DVD. Is there a more efficient and less time consuming way of doing that?

    Yes. Buy a Sony Direct-to-DVD burner for $200. Play directly from your tape deck or your timeline into that device and it will create DVDs in realtime.
