FCP reports audio rate error when exporting WMV files
Ok, simple task take 35 video clips all ingested via 8-bit uncompressed 48k stereo and export as MPEG-1, Quicktime and WMV format. Put each clip into it’s own timeline. Select all timelines in FCP browser and select “export using compressor”. Compressor opens, select all 35 items and assign presets for MPEG-1, Quicktime and WMV (using Flip4Mac to make the WMV files). All clips assigned 3 different encoding settings. Should be staright forward took about 15 minutes to set everything up.
So I hit the submit button and compressor chugs away without issue throught the MPEG-1 and Quicktime encoding. Then it hits the WMVs and warns “Inconsistent Audio Sample Rate. The media I am exporting contains audio with multiple sample rates.” Ok? but that wasn’t an issue for the MPEG-1 or Quicktime encoding. So I check the clip audio settings as report in FCP and they match the settings for the timeline. There are not audio or video edits on the clips. Clips are inserted into timeline as is – no “in” or “out” points. So I try again the process jsut for the WMV from Compressor. Same error msg. Welll then I try doing a batch export from within FCP — same error.
I hate the simple projects as they always seems to blow up. GIve me complicated project instead. I need to make WMV files. Anybody what is going on here?
