    Hi folks,

I made a FCP file and in a few of the clips I gave them some random distortions/aspect ration changes/opacity changes (to look like a fluttering screen).

    Looks great.

Now I realize I left off a bg shadow so I re-rendered the clip from AE Pro with more information in the alpha channel (the shadow) that has to follow the subject closely as it flutters to look real.

Question: Is there a way in FCP to simply take all the “changes” (keyframed distortions/aspect/opacity etc) and simply copy and paste them to a new clip or maybe simply “replace clip” keeping all those keyframes?

It would be a drag top have to manually re-keyframe all that stuff to the new clip.

    Does this make sense?

    Many thanks!!

    Richard

    Hi,
Has anyone figured this out? I have the exact same problem: trying to replace clips by merged clips (with better audio) in fcp 7 without destroying the cut.
    Thanks!
    Robert
