FCP renders stutter in QT
I’ve got a situation and I just don’t know what else to look into.
I’ve got a timeline that plays perfectly, but once I export, the video stutters as if my HD is to slow to play back the file. I’ve advanced frame by frame and see no duplicates.
Time line: 720p ProRes 422 (HQ) 29.97
all footage was captured from an EX1 via Matrox MX02 in FCP 6.0.6 on this machine
I’m using a 3 disk raid 0 scratch and a 4 disk raid 5 data drive. Both read ~260 MBps according to AJA’s speed test:

And here is the QT data I’m playing back:

I’ve ran onyx to fix permissions and that sort. I tried exporting to DVCPRO HD with same results. FCP viewer plays all these files back flawlessly but QT craps out.
I run them through compressor and adobe media encoder (converting to H.264) and the stutter still happens
boggled.
appreciate feedback.
