FCP rendering white as purple
Hey everyone!
I have some footage on a 10-bit Uncompressed timeline (footage also captured 10-bit uncompressed from DVCPRO 50 deck) that’s doing something weird. When I render it in 10-bit Uncompressed, everything that’s bright white (such as ceiling lights, the edge of a building through the window and a shiny spot on a bald guy’s head) looks dark purple. Why is this happening?
It doesn’t do it to every clip and it doesn’t do it in every instance of the same clip in other places on the timeline.
This only happens when I render or export to 10-bit Uncompressed. If I export to DV or any other format this doesn’t happen.
Anyone have any ideas? I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling – and I’m not ready to upgrade to Studio2 yet.
I’m running FCP 5.0 on a Quad 3Ghz Powermac w/ 3GB ram.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Dan
