Hello everyone, I was hoping for some help with a rendering issue. I have trouble rendering my timeline. Whenever I click on render, the render process window opens for a quick second or two and then just closes. I have gone through the entire list of rendering options and have the same results. The rendering process begins and quits within a second or two. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have already reloaded the FCP software but no luck. Thanks ahead of time for your time and consideration.

I’m no expert but when I had this problem I went to, Sequence- Render Selection & then selected the type of clip I was rendering so that it had a check by it. My issue was with ‘unlimited’ (orange) clips, so I selected ‘unlimited’ then it worked fine.

Try using the shortcut “option+R” for some reason I find that usually works if nothing in the menu does.

Same here. I just can’t render. Command R doesn’t do it. I started putting in and out points and then in the Sequence menu it would say In To Out on the menu and it would work. Now it doesn’t do that anymore.

It is the audio only that I have problems with. The clip was captured in iMovie, but many other clips I captured in iMovie don’t need to render the audio at all.

I get the little red line, but the computer refuses to render it! Frustrating!!

Oh, BTW, I’m running Leopard on a G5 dual 2.0.
