FCP render time gone through the roof
Hi, I’m running FCP 7.0.3, on a quad core mac pro.
I’ve been working on a DV Pal project of about 2 mins in lenght. Yesterday I went to render and encode it, the process took about 30 seconds to complete. This morning, I reopened the project, made a few simple changes and went to render it. This time however the render time is estimated at over 4 HOURS!
I’ve flushed the render files through render manager, deleted the render files through the finder, restarted more times than I can count, repaired disk permissions and reset the PRAM, all to no avail.
Any suggestions would be massively appreciated!
Ohh p.s the processor core activity reads at nearly nothing when rendering, where as it used to get up to about 60%…
