FCP Red Flickering
Hi there,
[The problem: Red flickering in the viewer &
canvas window during playback]My project in FCP has a good deal of footage [50GB] from a few sources with slightly different formats. We shot with an iPhone 4, Android, and a Canon 7D.
I set up the timeline for the iPhone footage and and rendered the rest accordingly. Everything was going fine for the first 2 days of editing; synching sound [from a Zoom H1], laying out footage in multiple timelines, and whittling it all down.Then last night, the red flickering began. I just ran a test using Compressor and the video exports fine.
Any ideas?

Ok, I quit all unnecessary programs and then saved FCP and quit — which turned into a save a and “FCP failed unexpectedly”.
But now, having restarted FCP, the red flickering seems to have vanished. Maybe it was a RAM issue, cause restarting FCP last night didn’t help.
Out of curiousity, does this sound familiar/viable?
