  FCP recapture from AVCCAM

  Wondering if anyone has re-captured footage from avccam before in a FCP 6 project? I’m ingesting footage shot on my Af100 via log and transfer and notice that as I shoot new cards for a project and start importing the footage the clip name in the log and transfer window is different from the clip name that FCP calls it. In other words, each card I shoot starts at clip #1… but as I load new cards into the FCP project it always starts the clips at the next number in the sequence (so that may be clip #185 or something). What is the process with recapturing footage if my drive were to crash? How does FCP know which clips to pull in when. Since each card I store would always start with clip #1 right?

  I know P2 gives each clip a new random name so that seems to make sense to me.
