    FCP reading 29.97 QTs as 23.98?

    i have a bunch of quicktimes that were supplied mainly at 23.98, some as 29.97.
    they were converted to 29.97 using compressor.

    QT reads the converted files as 29.97 and the old ones as 23.98.
    After Effects reads the converted files as 29.97 and the old ones as 23.98.

    FCP reads both files as 23.98???

    any ideas

    I had this happen once.

    I opened the problem clips in Cinema Tools…which read them as 29.97….clicked the conform button and selected 29.97 (same frame rate). Brought the clips into FCP and it now read them as 29.97
