  FCP Quits unexpectedly after udpate….

  Hi,

  Sorry for the basic questions here but my system is in use by another editor and does not have access to the internet there.

  My problem is that after updating my FCP package to the latest via software update my system has become flakey and will just dissapear while doing pretty basic functions (ie using distort to do a picture in picture). My editor seems to think it’s to do with Motion projects in the timeline.

  We’ve been through the process of trashing the prefs (is this what FCP recue does automatically?) and copying the sequence clips into a new project. this does not seem to be solving the problem.

  My system is
  Dual 2.7 G5
  FCP Studio
  Shake 4
  Blackmagic Decklink HD (Dual)
  G-SATA
