  • FCP quit when export via QT conversion

    Hi
When I export a sequence via QT conversion on my Macpro, FCP quit before displaying the dialog box (a message says maybe that happens because of the FLV module. Where is it ? what can I do ?
When I export the sequence without conversion it’s ok.
I ve changed the project name, I’ve suppressed the preferencies, I’ve repaired the permissions without any effect…
    FCP 7.0.3
    OS 10.5.8

When I do the same operation on my Macbook pro it works. (Same project, same FCP version but snow leopard)
Thank you for helping me I have to finish this work

    Regards

    Philippe

So the difference is on the System, and I don’t mean only about the System version.
One system may be well optimized and the other one no.
In those cases I run DiskWarrios and, normally, things get fixed.

Rafael I’ve used diskwarrior (directory rebuild and permissions repaired on the working disk)
and the issue remains the same. I don’t understand why the problem exists specificaly only for the export via conversion

Try to open a new project, copy your sequence into it and export. if it doesn’t work then start a new project with a new sequence, put in any video from a different source and try it. If that works it might be the footage. If all of them crash FCP then it must be the system- not enough memory, etc. Do a complete render before you export as well. Hit Option-R. that should do it. Good luck with it.

Thank you Joseph but I’ve just found the reason.
I launched the module crash analyses from FCS maintenance pack I decided to buy (a very good idea).
So the analyses said it was because of the FLV component in the library/ QT folder.
Then I removed this component and now all is ok. Halleluyah !
