FCP project to Color mo media ?
I have a FCP project that was cut on Avid, editor utilized (Automatic Duck) to conform the Final Cut version.
I installed Avid codec and the project looks fine
after sending to Color it won’t connect to media
any ideas much appreciated after a long day of nada. -

Color doesn’t recognize Avid codecs. You’ll need to transcode to ProRes in order to get Color to recognize the files.
I have color corrected an Avid project in COLOR before. What I did was export a QUicktime Movie in DNxHD, and an EDL to go with it. Then converted that file to ProRes. Then imported the EDL and QT into Color…it brought in the file and chopped it up where the EDL indicated. I color corrected, and exported to FCP.
