FCP project to be Captioned in Vegas.. What’s best format
A client of mine needs a 20 min video closed captioned. He rendered to project to a MOV file but now Vegas can’t see the video just the audio. I believe the format is HDV8. So the client re-did the render as a DVCPro HD, same thing, audio but no video.
What’s the best HD export from FCP that will open in Vegas?

Pro Res has always worked for me.

could this be my 7.7.2 Quicktime update?
Read somewhere that 7.6.2 was the latest version that Vegas supported.

If that’s the latest version, then yes, that could very well be your problem as I recall others having issues with the newest version.
I’m using 7.6.8 on my home computer and it works just fine.
