With 2 hours worth of edited program on the FCP (5.4) timeline, I attempt
to export (basic Quicktime movie) and I get the following error about 20%
    completed mark:
    File I/O error.
    And then the export quits.
Now it will make seven minute movies, but not 2 hours. What’s up? My Quicktime
    version is 7.4.1 (the latest).
I called Apple Care about this , but they said, (and get this!) “We don’t handle problems
with Studio One anymore. You must have Studio Two for us to answer your question.
    Right.
Do I have to get FCP 6 with the new Quicktime to get it to work?
I need answers, and any help will be most appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Joe.

Sounds like your hard drive you’re exportting to may be formated FAT32 instead of MAC extended, so you’re up against the 2gb or 4gb file size limitation.
