fcp preview disabled
running FCP on g4 powerbook
taking in footage from Panasonic dx100 via firewire
having the ‘preview disabled’ problem
never happened b4. can control camera from keyboard but no picture on computer screen
can take footage into imovie fine
has anyone found a definite answer to this or reason for it.
have tried all suggestions i have found via google searvches
help!! tearing hair oute

Is the FW cable on it’s own bus, or is it looped through a FW drive? if so, that’s probably the problem. Some drives allow for this, and others simply don’t. The fix is to add a FW bus to your PB via a PC card…
