    Hi everyone…

New to FCP, and I would like to know if I can link DVCPROHD P2 media directly from my Panasonic HPM110 into FCP 6.

The reason I’d like to do this is because we produce a major division 1 football coach’s show, and we need to have 10 minutes of highlights edited less than 45 minutes after the game is over. We record the truck’s feed during the game onto our HPM110 (6 slot P2 recorder). At halftime and when the game is over, we’d like to switch the HPM110 into device mode and edit from it w/out taking the time to copy files to our HDD.

Did this last year with Liquid (yes, Liquid) and it worked flawlessly. We’ve happily made the jump from Liquid software laptop and Liquid Chrome XE desktop to Mac and FCP, and would like to continue the same workflow.

Completely willing to go with MXF4MAC or similar program to avoid re-wrapping time. I just want to make sure when I do that I can leave the media (up to around 75GB for the whole game) on my HPM110.

Thanks in advance for your insight!

    Banks
