Just tried to install FCP 4.1 on my Imac 2.1 ghz G5 (pre-intel) with OSX Tiger, as an emergency back-up edit system to my usual G5 Dual 2ghz. I am coming up with a configuration error that there’s no AGP Graphics Card. I was pretty sure the Imac machine had everything it needed to run FCP. Am I wrong in my assumption.

    FCP 4.5
    Dual 2 Gig
    Ram 2 Gig
    Sony 1800 BetaSP
    DSR-11

    Internal 250 gig
    G-Raid 500 (2)
    G-Drive 160

check to see if you have an AGP card.

The mac should have an AGP card though. I have the model just before, and mine runs everything perfectly.

http://www.apple-history.com – your iMac has a PCI Express video card.
