why does it take so long time to reenter FCP when Jumping form finder or another application.
This does not happen if we work locally on a Firewire disk.
Sorry if my english i a little bit rusty

January 6, 2009 at 5:53 pmObviously, because it’s an Avid product and is tuned specifically to Avid systems you are going to run up against speed bumps. Restarts, crashes etc. will be the norm. It may work, but it is not reliable.
My suggestion is to get shared storage that is tuned for Final Cut Pro: XSAN on a Promise RAID.

January 6, 2009 at 6:33 pmGoing from Finder to Media Composer on our Adrenaline systems lags a lot too… I would suspect it is the Unity that is the cause of the slow-down, but there isn’t much to do about it.
