    Hi there

    I have a Macbook Pro with 2.4Ghz Core2duo, 2GB ram.
    I have a sequence with 920×720 with a video(originally 1920×1080)
the Video has 1min and 21 sec.
And just a few effects like: 3 color balance filter, 1 -Sharpen, 3 Magic Bullet filters(LS bleach, LS Nº 85, MisFire Vignette), Color corrector 3way, Frames(Magic Bullet de-interlace filter)
it takes like 10 hours to export to quicktime(current settings)

I dont have experience in editing HD, and using color filters. Is this a acceptable rendering time?
What is your experience with a similar system and FCP color adjustments or AE in terms of rendering time?

    Thanks

    Fred

You said the dimensions, but NOT the codec. What codec? DVCPRO HD? ProRes?

Those are VERY odd numbers. Not a normal ratio for FCP. If the sequence settings and footage doesn’t match something you find in the Easy Setups, then yes, they can take a long time. But also, you have a LOT of render intensive filters, like FRAMES. That does take time too. You have a lot of factors that are adding up to a long render time.

The only 960×720 footage I’ve seen came from DVCPro HD 720, but I rarely get 720 footage.

and I love that this is considered a small number of filters by some. renders take a long time, and they take even longer on a macbook pro.
