  • FCP log and capture vs Express’s Clip

I went, (unfortunately to FCP 3 to Express HD) as 3 wont work with Tiger.

So found out (unfortunately) that there is no log and capture to express.

But there is a “clip” feature, where you can type in a scene name, and mark in /out points and then capture, so what is the difference from this and the log and capture– I’m very rusty on this. thanks.

It’s the same as the clip function in FCP. It lets you capture a single clip with marked In and Out points.

Funny, I never paid attention to the clip function in FCP. So the main difference between clip, and log and capture is that with clip you have to capture all you clips immediately, and with log and capture, you mark the ins and outs, and then later can do it in a batch.
thanks Tom. Any opinion on Express?
