FCP Locks Up During Capture
I am capturing HDV 24F footage from a Canon XH A1 using “log and Capture” into Final Cut Pro 6.0. Whenever the tape comes to the end of the recorded portion, FCP completely locks up and I need to force quit FCP. This results in loss of the clip as it has not yet been saved. As a work around, I am recording the time code at the end of the recorded portion of the tape, and stopping capture just prior to the end.
While this is workable, it is inconvenient. Does anyone know a way around this?

Set the OUT point a couple of seconds before the end.
