    Hi everyone,

I have audio clips in my time line that i cant hear, even tho i see the waveform.
When i double click it and audio track opens in the viewer, i also can not hear it play back, but as soon as the playhead passes my outpoint of my audio select, i do hear it.
There are multiple clips (VO) in my timeline that do same, not playing back my audio.

I thought it might have to do with the render but all audio is rendered.

I know im probably overseeing something very basic..troubleshooting online hasn’t helped me and time is starting to work against me.

Do you have any idea what the problem could be.

    Thanks everyone

The last time something like that happened to me it was a clip that had been brought in at 44.1kHz, so the first thing to check is that the clip is 48kHz, 16bit, uncompressed.

FCP is only happy when sample rates match (preferably 48khz), bit depth is 16 or 24 bit and uncompressed (PCM) audio is used. So AAC, mp3 etc and wrong sample rate or bit depth can cause a a variety of problems including sync issues, clicks & splats and export problems via OMF.

Convert everything to a happy format before editing.
