I just bought (used) and installed Final Cut Studio 2 on my brand new MacPro tower and I get this dialogue box: “MacIntosh HD/Users/brianelliott/Documents/Final Cut Pro Documents” is missing. The software installed fine on my iMac and I tried installing again on the MacPro with the same result. Any ideas from the enlightened?

You should contact Apple about an installation issue.

    All the best,

What happens if you create that folder in the specified location?

Did you completely erase that hard drive when you received the machine and start over from scratch beginning with the OS Installation?

That’s what I would highly recommend to anyone who purchases a used machine.

The MacPro is brand new with 16GB ram and 4 TB HD/Kona 3 card and breaker box and AJA Io. All of the right toys, but the FCP Studio 2 is second hand. I’m going to call Apple and see if they can help.
