FCP Import Issue from clips rendered in Color
Hi Guys,
I’ve been doing some grading in Color of some DVCPROHD 1080 50p footage with the intention of returning to FCP to add credits, titles etc. So far I’ve graded and outputted 2 clips from Color.
(All the footage I am using was shot on P2, ingested through FCP as DVCPROHD 1080 50p and outputted as self contained QT files of the same format for use in Color. I have no other formats in this project.)
I imported both clips back into FCP and one clip came in correctly; DVCPROHD 1080 50p, and the other came in as ProRes 1920.
When I view each clip in QT, info for both clips comes up as DVCPRO HD 1080 50p, only on import to FCP does one of the two clips gets imported as ProRes (with a green render bar above its clip on the DVCPRO HD 1080 50p timeline too, which is what drew my attention to the problem in the first place)
I re-rendered the second clip to make sure it wasn’t an unfortunate fluke, but on import into FCP it is still marked as ProRes in the bin and timeline, but seen correctly within QT player.
Any ideas how this could have happened?
Thanks,
Simon
