  • FCP HDV 1080i to Vegas?

I found some posts asking about bringing FCP files into Vegas, but so far none of the answers have worked for me. I do have the latest QT installed, but still cannot see files captured in FCP using HDV 1080i. My buddy is about to start recapturing to DV tape to send but I wanted to ask first if there’s a way to make the FCP files work. Any advice is appreciated.

    thx

Once FCP has touched the HDV files it’s exceedingly difficult to read them in Vegas with any number of workarounds. Convert them to .MXF in FCP for easiest means of access. It’s very fast.

Thx DSE, I’ll get him to try that next.
