    I just upgraded my system to an Intel MacPro, installed FCStudio 5.0 on the system and went to look at some of the Quicktime files from previous work only to discover that any of the DVCProHD formatted clips, as well as HDV format, show up with only a white screen but working audio. Quick internet research says that I am missing the codecs on my system, but when I check in the Library/Quicktime folder, there are HDV and HD codecs in there.
    Any idea what might be wrong? Is this some sort of Intel/FCP5.0 conflict? Should I just try a reinstall?

    Thanks!

    Answering my own question. Found this solution over at Apple’s site:

    “….The normal way to get an App to use Rosetta is by;
    Going to Applications
    Control-click the QuickTime application.
    In the context menu, choose Get Info
    Select “Open Using Rosetta”.”
