FCP HD Rendering Troubles
Hi, maybe someone can help me out with this very unusual problem.
I was editing a friend’s project on FCP HD, and when I started putting clips into the timeline, it would make me render them before I could view them. I’ve never had to render a simple clip when I put it on the timeline, and now I have to render EVERY stupid thing. Did I accidentally change a setting or something? Why would it have to render a clip that’s imported right out of my videocamera? It doesn’t have any special effects or anything. This whole problem started when I bought DH_Reincarnation to fix a dead pixel. I don’t know if I completely messed up some settings or not, but the right viewer screen is at 36% and the left is at 45%, and I could’ve sworn they were both at 45%. The right one looks a little weird, let’s just say.I’ve already checked that the settings for the sequence are the same as the settings for the clip, and they are, so I’m really stuck. If anybody could hlpe me out, I would greatly appreciate it.

Apparently not. The Sequence and Capture Settings must match exactly.
Also, if you’re changing the Sequence Settings after clips have already been laid into the timeline, the clips already in there will still need to be rendered.
The easiest way to avoid this issue is to just use the correct Easy Setup for whatever format of footage you’re using.
