    Should be enough for regular ProRes… I assume your sequence settings are also correct?

    Yeah you should be okay. Have you run the regular drill of trashing prefs, rebooting in safe, repair disk permissions, etc?

    I think seq settings are correct but I had to step away for while so can’t look at the moment.

    Yes, ProRes HQ was designed for frame sizes larger than 1080. This has been discussed numerous times on this forum.

    Original footage is on the external.”

    All of the footage has to be on your external drive. NEVER put any media on your main System Drive.

    I was under the impression it was also for particularly high-quality sources– a film telecine or HDCAM transfer, for example– even if the frame size was only 1080.
