    Hello,

I am trying to take a project from FCP and get it converted for an Electrosonic HD FrEND. It requires that the video be mpeg-2 (transport stream) and the audio is ac-3. It also needs to be multi-plexed together.

For some reason I can’t get Compressor to do this and haven’t had any luck in MPEG Streamclip. Perhaps I am doing something wrong. Again, I just want one file (mpeg-2 file, with ac3 audio and it needs to be a transport stream).

Has anyone ever dealt with this?

    Help.

    Thanks,
    John

    What about Episode?

Compressor (even in FCS 1.0) has an option to make multiplexed MPEG2 transport stream files with audio as MP2. Maybe this will work for you.

    Hi Neil,

Thanks for your help. I have seen that option in DVD Studio Pro. The FrEND box wants it be multiplexed with ac3.

    Back to the drawing board.

Maybe your best bet (within an FCP system) is to make a DVD project and build a DVD. Then with the Video_TS, you can create (maybe) a multiplexed MPEG stream.

Or, you need something like Cleaner or Episode Pro or Squeeze.
