FCP Hangs
Hi,
I’m using FCP 6.0.4
Since upgrading from a G5 to an Intel 2×2.8ghz quad FCP has not been running stable.
While working a couple of minutes I get the dreaded rainbow wheel. I can’t force quite and often have to hard shut down. I’m sure this is not good for the mac.I have since trashed the Prefs, reinstalled FCP and still no luck.
Any suggestions????
OSX 10:5.5
2 x 2.8ghz quad-core intel xeon
2 gb ram -

Did you install FCP fresh, or migrate the application? Repair Permissions with the Disk Utility?

It was a fresh install. Yes I repaired Permissions with Disk Utility. No luck
Can i try Disk Warrior?
