FCP & GoPro camera
Using MPEG Streamclip has not enabled my camera files to show up in FCP ‘Log & Transfer’ – any help on this, please ? I currently have to ‘drag & drop’ from Finder which is not the way one should have to do this.

You can’t use log and transfer with the Go Pro. Drag the files from the camera to your hard drive and convert them using MPEG Streamclip or Compressor.

Log & Transfer does not work with all types of video shot on just any camera, it only works with very specific stuff shot on certain memory cards, such as Panasonic P2, Sony SxS, etc. Many types of cameras have media that is indeed simply transcoded and imported into FCP.
If you transcode by using a Compressor droplet you can batch transcode, rename, and send them to the original folder in one swell foop…

Could you re-write the camera plist like you have to do for the 550D??

Yeah, unfortunately there’s no L&T for GoPro… Mpeg Streamclip is cool, BUT there’s also a useful script for Quicktime 7… More on it here: https://macscripter.net/viewtopic.php?id=9274
