    Can anyone explain or make sense of these error messages “general error (41) and (21). i get them when i try to open my fcp project files. all of my autosave files also are missing, this happened around the same time as the error messages. any help is appreciated as im working under a strict deadline.

    Possibly a corrupt file in your project. First delete your render files then try opening FCP.

    Corruption.
    I’f you can not open your file in anyway, I think the only solution is start again.
    If you can open it, you can try like that:
    – open your project.
    – open a new project.
    – Select everything in the Brownser of the first project. Drag and drop in the brownser of the new one.
    – save the new project with a different name.
    for me this system has work evry single time whenever I’ve got the funny GENERAL ERROR!
    If this happens often to you, trash the preferences.
