    Hi everyone!

I have a multiclip project, that consists of 2 XDCAM EX camera files and one AVCHD converted to ProRES.

I had some trouble with the sync of the converted AVCHD footage, but I managed to correct it manually.

Now I have a trouble with exporting the whole project. First I rendered the whole sequence in XDCAM format and than I tried to export it. I tried different ways and formats and always I got a GENERAL ERROR message and no output (except audio when I tried m2v & ac3). Than I reinstalled the whole system because many things started to behave in a strange way. Now I have a fresh install of FCP STUDIO 2 but I got the same problem. Than I found in a forum that it might help to remove the render files. I did and I rendered the sequence using the Apple Intermediate Codec, which renders the fastest of all (not to waste the time, which is getting short). Than came the exporting process and again it failed but now with the message “I/O error” or “File I/O error”.

I tried veryfiing the hard drives and they seem to be OK.

The footage plays flawlessly in FCP. The individual original files seem to play OK and the render files also. What to do?

Nothing like this happened to me before. I suspect it might be related to the AVCHD footage which I had to use for the first time. Also I forgot to mention that there are some animated parts made in MOTION and exported in ProRES HQ.

    I will appreciate any help!

    Thank You!

    Radim
