FCP Font trouble

not sure what causes this, but it has happened to me at a place I used to work. I will be monitoring to see any solutions.
We suspected corrupted font files, but still had the issues once replaced.

I also had this problem so I just deleted the font and reload it again and it fixed it.

I appreciate that. I am not too familiar with the mac font system. could you possibly give me a few steps on how to remove and reload a font specifically?
