I’ve had a Panasonic DVX-100a – and on my older system I’ve had to dub it to Beta and then into the Avid (older system, no firewire). Thankfully, I just got a new FCP system and I’m wondering if I should be using Firewire 400 or 800. Basically, can I use 800 and is it any faster with this camera? Any better options?
    Thanks.

Forgot to add. I’m using a new MacPro, dual 3.0. I also have a Kona LHe card that I’m using to digitize BetaSP. I use and Beta and DV footage together, outputting to Beta or DVD.
