I’m noticing my FCP clips coming back from Motion darker than when they were sent. I had lightened them up with a brightness/contrast filter in Final Cut before going into Motion.

My question is, if I apply a filter to a clip on the FCP timeline before sending it to Motion will Motion disregard that filter? And is it lost once it is exported back to the timeline?

Should I be adding the filter after I’ve done the round trip to Motion?

Yes, the filters are lost. Use similar filters in Motion, or apply after the roundtrip.

Thanks Jason…I thought that might be what was going on.
