    That’s called a LENS FLARE, and is most often done in camera. Meaning that it is actually caused in the camera by the light shining into it. Some people use special lenses to enhance this effect, like JJ Abrahms, for example.

    Filters for doing this in post? Dunno of any myself…

    Thanks guys. Yes I realise this can be done in camera which is obviously much better and more rewarding, but I wanted to replicate that particular type of hot circular flare as seen in the photo.
