FCP EDL generates with an extra frame

I am working on a project which is shot on arri alexa, apple proress 422 format. I import the xml from the folders of the data card, as is the standard way to work with the file based recording cameras.
Now the problem is when i generate an EDL from the seq. at each edit event( each cut), I get an extra frame at the end of the cut, though the start of the cut is shown properly. Its only to do at the end of the cut. record time and sequence time both have an extra frame at the end of each cut.
e.g

at the first event my clip ends at – ’01:13:48:03′ and not at ’01:13:48:04′
likewise 2nd event at – ’01:16:35:02′ and not at -’01:16:35:03′
3rd event at -’01:17:41:14′ and not at -’01:17:41:15′

Another problem –
As you can see, the underlined time code of the sequence is repeating itself in the next edit point as well. I expect an increment of the sequence timecode after every edit point.

An outpoint is traditionally ‘up to’, meaning, the frame number is NOT included in the video.

So, (back in the lineair days), the outpoint you set is NOT included with the insert you make.
IOW, the first EDL is correct.

All systems that do EDL conforming know how to interpret the numbers. The list is meant to be a code for machines to compile tapes to a master tape so the extra frame is needed to tell the machine to drop out of record at the start of the next frame.

Smart software people like the team at Shotlister, many years ago, made it possible to display an EDL as graphical tracks and not show the extra frame. I still have Shotlister running on a Linux machine under WINE for those moments when I need to look at an EDL and have it make sense.
