FCP doesn’t recognize my deck !!
Hello – I just upgraded my G5 to 10.3.9 and installed QT pro 7. Ever since then, FCP does not recognize my external deck which is connected via firewire. How do i get it to recognize my deck? I would be so grateful for any help as i have to edit something tomorrow morning on the system!! Also – running FCP HD 4.5. Thank you!

If I remember right FCP 4.5 isn’t compatible with OS 10.3.9. You need to downgrade the OS or upgrade FCP. Lots of info on this in the Apple forums.

That wasn’t entirely correct – there is another solution but I don’t know what it is. Search here or especially in Apple forums on “10.3.9” and “4.5” – there’s a specific tweak outlined. Good luck.
