FCP does not save the capture fully
It appears that fcp is capturing properly but at the end of the tape when verified the size of the capture, it shows much less than expected. For example it would be around 4 to 6 GB instead of around 13 GB per DV.
Machine/Software Specifications: Mac OS X 10.6.8 with 2GZ Intel CORE DUO, FCP 7
Can anyone help me out !

What format are you capturing? DV?

We are using HDV 1080i50 format. But we have seen the same problem with DV also.
But, now we have discovered the problem and the solution.
Recently we have added a new Hard disk which was formatted in FAT32(windows format) and because it allows only 4 GB file size we were having problems. Now we have re-formatted this hard drive using the format Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and the problem is resolved.
