FCP – create gaps between clips according to time code
I have a bunch of clips with camera time code. Is there a way to place them in a sequence so they have gaps when the camera wasnt filming?
example: camera shuts off for one minute, there is a gap of 1 minute between two clips

By manually cutting them into the sequence. There are still things you have to do manually. Editing isn’t automatic.

Try selecting all the clip and choosing “Make Mulitclip Sequence” – make sure you pick using Starting timecode (and this only really works if you used time of day timecode.) A sequence will be built based on that timecode.
