FCP crashing on P2 ingest
Every time I drag certain P2 volumes into my log and transfer window FCP crashes. Other volumes are fine. Does this mean the files are just corrupted or is there something else I can try?

Try copying them back to a card and playing them in the camera. If they work, use the Camera’s REPAIR function.

Unfortunately I have no access to a camera or cards now.
Any other tips?
Is there some other software that can turn the files into quicktimes without FCP’s log and transfer window?

Also look into RAYLIGHT…which allows you to edit the MXF files directly without converting.
