    Hello,

I’m cutting a sequence of 720p60 DVCPro HD footage and when trying to view it on an external monitor (downconverted letterbox through the decklink extreme card), it plays for a few seconds and then crashes. I’ve tried restarting, trashing preferences. Ideas? I’m viewing it with the setting 720p/59.94, which is what my sequence is.

Also, is there a center cut function on the Extreme Card? I only see a letterbox downconvert.

    I’m using a PowerPc G5, 2.7GHZ. 3.5 DDR SDRAM, OS 10.4.11, FCP 6.02.

    Thank you,

    Jake

    Hi Jake,

Unfortunately, there is no center cut function.

I’m not sware of any pre-exisiting issues with what you’re doing so could you please contact our support team at support[at]blackmagic-design.com? Make sure you include the crash log from Final Cut Pro in your email to them.

    regards

I’ve had the same issue watching Multiclips, made with 3 DVCPRO HD streams of footage. (CUTTING ON FCP 6.0.2). The Multiclips will play in my Viewer for a bit, and then crash the system. I lowered some of my RT attributes (UPPER LEFT CORNER OF TIMELINE WINDOW), and that seems to help a bit. Although I’ve had not problems with the footage in the timeline, or editing my Mulitclips, in the timeline. I’m close to having it all work perfectly. Any suggestions, Kristen? Or, Jason, if you’ve gotten anymore info. Thanks.
