fcp crashes in audio import
I have imported an 1.5 GB aiff audio file and fcp crashes all the time.
I had no problems before adding this file. Now I don’t know what to do. Have tried everything, trashed preferences, re install fcp.
All timelines without this audio file work without crashing the program. What should I do?

The first thing I’d do would be to check the audio settings – is it 48kHz 16bit? FCP will handle other settings but not happily, so convert it if it’s different.
2nd thing would be to break it into sections using the audio editor of your choice, then import them and see whether a series of smaller files work ok.

apparently fcp crashes with or without the new audio.
