  FCP crashes during Sony HDV capture

  FC crashes frequently on capture, specially on rewind or between takes. Beach Ball appears on demand for rewind or FFWD from FCP capture screen.and crashes. I have to import files from Capture Scratch Folder. Is this due to some bad workflow settings?

  FCP 5.14, MBP, capturing from Sony Z1 1080 / 50 i, to external IDE drive.
