FCP crashes at Capture and Log
Hey guys,
I’m new to Macs (got my first one this morning) as well as Final Cut Pro. I have some footage I’m trying to import from a Canon HDV20 using Final Cut Pro 5. Every time I hit capture and log, FCP crashes. FCP is set to import HDV/60i same as the camera. Is there some support drivers for the canon I need to download for FCP? Or is there some other solution?

try the “1080i firewire basic” easy setup
check and make sure the canon is manually
set for HDV output (it has a tendency to go back to DV)I don’t think fcp 5.x supports the 24f mode
if that’s what’s on tape.trash preferences if it still won’t go.
