FCP crash when using copy filter control
Hi,
I’m having a problem where FCP crashes every time I copy to 1st clip or 2nd clip with the color corrector or 3 way color corrector. I’ve trashed prefs, checked RAM, checked my AJA card, checked my SAS card, disconnected all peripherals and I’ve pasted the sequence into a new project with the same problem. I’ve rebooted from an older external startup disk (with Tiger and QT 7.5 instead of Leopard and QT 7.6) – same problem. I’ve opened the same project on another FCP station in another room and still the same crash whenever I copy a correction to the next clip (I didn’t reconnect media on this other station). The only thing unique about this 1080p ProRes sequence is that it was created by Crimson.

Turned out the problem was with the Crimson generated XML. I just exported the sequence as an EDL and reimported it and voila the 3-way color corrector stopped crashing FCP.
